General Manager, Romanian Office

Many years ago, I went to Medical school to study interdisciplinary science research, trying to combine maths and computer science with medicine. The first part of my plan was to get academically qualified  which I did by acquiring three majors, two masters and one PhD. The second part was to apply the knowledge and find myself the right job, which was the hard part.
Initially, I worked for two years in the largest hospital in the western part of Romania before joining the medical informatics department at the local medical school in Timisoara. Lucky for me, it was there in March 2007 that I met Dr. Andrew Griffiths who was visiting the area to investigate opening a Cmed office in Romania.  My background fitted very well with Cmed’s requirements, so I became the contact person for the project, eventually to become the General Manager of the new office.

That was the moment when I realized that the second part of my plan could become reality: to work for a company where I would be able to use my abilities and knowledge as I had always hoped.  I wasn’t wrong, I was working with very driven, professional people keen to develop a progressive company using cutting edge technology.

Our Romanian Office has been a great success.  We opened for business in March 2008 and were operational from day one. The original team of five has grown to 45 staff and we look optimistically to the future.
