Job Title: Business Analyst I


Reports To: Associate Director, Business Information Management


Department: Business Information Management


Core Responsibilities


The Business Analyst will work within the Business Information Management group. The core responsibilities of the position are the ongoing management of critical business information within Cmed’s MIS and the ongoing operational analysis and reporting required to support the operations of the company.


Principal Accountabilities



  • The loading and ongoing maintenance of the financial and operational data within MIS. This includes project budgets, employee costs, resource capacities, time entry and sales projections.

  • Assist in the implementation of new systems and processes to improve the operations of the business.

  • Ongoing management of the structure with MIS to ensure the quality and accuracy of all data.

  • Creation and distribution of scheduled reports to all levels of the company

  • Provides ad-hoc analysis as requested.

  • Act as a financial resource to the project teams.

  • Provide administrative support to Project Review Meetings

  • Ensure the compliance of time entry by Cmed staff


Essential Work Experience And Qualifications



  • Proven working experience in a financial / business analyst role.

  • Previous experience in the CRO/Pharmaceutical or Software as a Service (SaaS) environment is a plus.

  • Bachelor's Degree (prefer degree in Business with Finance or Accounting focus) or equivalent work experience

  • Strong Outlook, Word, Excel and MS Office skills. Other financial software packages are also a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to advise and interact with all levels of management.

  • Ability to work cross functionally with operational teams, Finance/Accounting and other corporate services.

  • Strong leadership skills.
