Job Title: Project Manager


Reports To: Head of Project Management


Department: Cmed Technology Ltd


Core Responsibilities


The Project Manager role encompasses both the responsibilities of delivering Timaeus and related technologies on a “Software as a Service” (SaaS) basis, as well as those of commercial software development.  The balance of these is assigned on an individual basis, as required, and agreed between the individual and their line manager.



  • Project management of SaaS projects to agreed timelines and budget

  • Project management support to the Technology delivery teams to aid release of new & revised versions of the Timaeus product suite to planned timelines


Principal Accountabilities


Clients:



  • Be the key client contact for assigned projects

  • Ensure that all client issues are addressed and suitable resolution implemented in a timely manner

  • Manage the client expectations regarding new Timaeus functionality and provide advice on their appropriate and effective use in assigned projects

  • Monitor and work with the Cmed teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained


Documentation:



  • Prepare and maintain the Technology Trial Master File for assigned projects

  • Ensure client sign-off documentation is obtained and filed appropriately

  • Organise the preparation, review, and finalisation of required project documentation


Resourcing and timelines:



  • Collate and negotiate project timelines and communication plan with assigned clients, ensuring ongoing maintenance and communication to all stakeholders

  • Request resource from the appropriate department managers to fulfil project requirements

  • Provide leadership to the assigned project team, ensuring understanding of client needs and buy-in to delivery milestones

  • Coordinate Cmed departmental activity to achieve contracted milestones for assigned projects


Communication:



  • Support inter-department communication and resolve conflict of resource/interest through the appropriate line managers

  • Arrange internal/external project team meetings (as required) to kick-off and maintain progress on assigned contracts

  • Manage the client communication, agreement and upgrade of Timaeus study versions ensuring appropriate weight is given to risk assessment, testing and acceptance criteria

  • Maintain and communicate issues & escalations from assigned projects to line management on a regular basis

  • Provide regular reports and updates to Cmed management/sponsors as requested

  • Assist in the development and delivery of capability presentations to prospective customers


Contractual:



  • Ensure contractual project obligations are communicated and understood by all team members

  • Ensure assigned projects are maintained on the most appropriate Timaeus version based on the contract (may not be the most recent), in liaison with the customer

  • Track and communicate 'out of scope' details to appropriate internal teams and assist in development of a suitable client response

  • Review project budget and study trends, recognising potential change in scope or overruns and negotiate cost effective solutions

  • Provide input into new contracts from a Technology perspective, liaising with Business Development and Contracts Management, as appropriate

  • Ensure appropriate tracking systems are updated with project progress e.g. financial


Other:



  • Support the collation of new Timaeus requirements arising from assigned projects, to include provision of suitable business cases, to the relevant internal development team

  • Provide guidance/mentoring for the management of Timaeus system validation processes for customer acceptance


Essential Work Experience And Qualifications



  • At least 6 years experience in the clinical trials environment

  • Good understanding of the drug development process

  • Excellent understanding and appreciation of GCP/GCLP

  • Computer literate, experience of working with Microsoft Office (including Project)

  • Experience of customer relationship management

  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables in dynamic customer facing environment
